Ethnography

The ethnographic collection is made up of pottery and folk furniture from the original SVUM fund. The collection comprises mostly of folk pottery, which has some pricelss pieces of the Haban pottery ( German Baptists - The Taufens ) and the pottery which was being made in the classes organised by the Association for folk potters. The latter are valuable mainly from the historic - documentary point of view. A part of the collection was exhibited in 1913 - 1959 along with a colection of national costumes, embroideries and folk furniture. After 1959 this collection was not extended and the contemporary permanent exhibition shows only some ethnographic artifacts.
